STORIES FOR CHILDREN

VIRTUAL STORYTIME

Reading...A Maine Adventure

.

The 2023 program is "Reading....A Maine Adventure" and it is all about exploring the Maine outdoors.  This program ended on August 1, 2023 with 35-40 readers consistently reading weekly this summer.  At least 1,000 books were read by these book loving kids, and many crafts were done.

We learned about the many great outdoor resources of our state, about our First People, who they are, where they live, and the important place they have in our state. The program ended with Hands On Wildlife presented by local woodsmen, Alan Ashley and Lou Graves.  Kids got a chance to see, hear about, and touch Maine Wildlife.

Reading....A Maine Adventure was, indeed, an adventure for all!!!

Thank you again to Margo Jackisch, underwriter of this year's program.

Each week a different children's book available at the library is highlighted by Ms. Lee.  This is showcased on Facebook and this website with a link that connects to the book being read.  The latest story is available on the Home Page of this website.  Below are older offerings.  Click on the picture of the book to see and hear it being read.
